Basement Design Process

 Our initial virtual appointment begins with a preliminary design discussion, where we explore your preferred architectural style, basement layout, and intended use. We'll discuss key features like wet bars, steam showers, theater rooms, and more to ensure an accurate quote and seamlessly move to the next step. 

 A Laser Measurement Tool, which allows you to easily measure with a laser beam and a push of a button, will be mailed to you prior to this appointment. This virtual appointment is designed to interactively guide you or your contactor through measuring your unfinished basement, including all existing key elements like the foundation, windows, drains, furnace, water heater, stairwell, and more to assist us in drawing the existing structure. If you already have blueprints with dimensions, simply email a photo to expedite this meeting. Before your scheduled session, you'll receive an email with additional details in case you want to start measurements ahead of time. Precise measurements are essential for creating high-quality, accurate, buildable plans. Please have paper, a pencil, and your new Laser Measurement Tool ready.  An assistant to help hold your phone or take measurements can also be beneficial. Best of all, this fun to use Laser Measurement Tool is yours to keep.

Before your appointment, your initial basement blueprint and multiple 3D perspectives will be emailed to you. This allows you time to review them and compile a list of any requested changes. During the meeting, we’ll go over your list and begin making the necessary adjustments.

Once this step is complete, hardcopies will be mailed to you.

A set of scaled blueprints, printed on high-quality 13"x19" paper, will be mailed to you. The package includes two framing plans and six overall plans, designed to support construction, bidding, and permits.

If you or your contractor needs modifications or additions to your basement plans, we’re here to assist. We’ll make the requested adjustments and mail you an updated set of revised blueprints.
